President Obama will not put health care on the back burner even though the majority of states are fighting back with state constitutional amendments to ban health insurance mandates. Surprisingly the biggest supporters of the free market health care system in the US, seem to be the Canadian officials.
February 03, 2010 The Courthouse News reported, "President Obama encouraged Democrats on Wednesday to finish the job on health care, and chastised Republicans for gumming up the legislative system. We said we were gonna change it, he said. Well here we are, with a chance to change it."
Speaker Pelosi vowed she would pass Obamacare regardless of the obstacles "We will go through the gate. If the gate is closed, we will go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we will pole vault in. If that doesn’t work, we will parachute in. But we are going to get health care reform passed..."
The Huffington Post reported, "Schwarzenegger told Meet the Press host David Gregory this was tantamount to saying I'm holding out my vote, unless I get some extra kind of benefits here. The governor went on: I mean if you do that in Sacramento, you know, you'll be sued. It is illegal to do that, to buy votes,” referring to government mandated health care.
The Wichita Eagle reported, "Although President Obama's push for a health care overhaul has stalled, conservative lawmakers in more than two-thirds of the states — including Kansas — are forging ahead with constitutional amendments to ban government health insurance mandates. The proposals would assert a state-based right for people to pay medical bills from their own pocketbooks and prohibit penalties against those who refuse to carry health insurance."
The Washington Post reported that Danny Williams, "ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland -- The premier of Canada's east coast province is undergoing heart surgery in the United States this week because the treatment he is seeking was not available in his home province." The news director of CTV Ottawa referring to Premier Danny Williams, "If he stayed, he'd have to wait, he'd be under tremendous pressure to continue to do the job that he's doing. He'd also be under tremendous pressure if he jumped the line, which he obviously couldn't do." Province's deputy premier Kathy Dunderdale said, ''Ultimately we have to be the gatekeepers of our own health.''
President Obama has made it clear he has not given up the health care fight and along with Speaker Pelosi; it will not be over until they ram Obamacare down our throats. Although the Democratic armada is starting to sink, Harry Reid is becoming critical of the Presidents statements on Las Vegas, "When times are tough, you tighten your belts. You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college." Reid fired back, "Las Vegas is suffering through one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, and we cannot afford for the President to bring us down any further."
In the past year since Obama became President he has demonized the banks, Wall Street, the aircraft and tourism industries just to name a few. The unemployment rate is at ten percent. The only two cards he has in his deck are the class warfare and the Bush did it card.
Senator Reid, the President is not just bringing down Las Vegas he has brought down the entire country. Vegas was not the first casualty of the Obama administration. It started with the aircraft industry when President Obama demonized the auto executives for flying to Washington in their corporate jets. The President’s remarks caused companies across America to cancel their orders for private jets thus ten thousand workers in Wichita are jobless and you, sir were in on it.
Senator Reid on behalf of the 10,000 frustrated laid off aircraft workers in Wichita, Kansas I want to welcome you to Obamaland. Land of the destitute and home of the impoverished.
